In today’s challenging distance learning environment, Stockton Unified School District (California, 40,000 students) has deployed a 1:1 reading tutor from Amira Learning. Intended to support early readers at home, Lori Royce (Program Specialist) shared how the initiative was initially driven by grassroots usage and has since scaled to a coordinated districtwide rollout across multiple schools.

Impact is incorporating a 1:1 reading assistant, Amira Learning, into their comprehensive early elementary virtual model. Abby Cedano (Chief Academic Officer) will share how Impact has rapidly re-designed their curriculum to meet the needs of their diverse population at home. Impact’s goal is to ensure students most impacted by the virus aren’t left further behind.
