Amira works with Schools and Partners based in the following countries:
Amira works with many private and public school systems around the world. While we believe developing the habits of reading are best implemented in the school environment, we understand many schools may not possess the bandwidth or device requirements to have multiple students working with Amira at once. In these situations, we offer Amira as an effective homework solution for students to utilize a smart device at home or in their community to read with Amira.
Initially, we were hesitant on the success of using Amira as homework: would enough students find regular access to a smart device? Would they be motivated to read with Amira without a teacher present? Would parents be receptive to basic training and provide enough encouragement to keep students going?
The results so far have been impressive. In City Montessori Schools (“CMS”) in Lucknow, India and surrounding areas, Amira has been utilized as a homework solution. Reading growth for students has been as high or higher than other schools in India. Hear from one of the school leaders of CMS on their experience with Amira.
Amira has successfully implemented its solutions across large cities and states in the US and select countries outside the US. Outside the US, Amira is working with the Delhi Government to implement its solutions with Grade 2-6 students across a large segment of their Connected Schools.
In addition, large scale pilots and proposals are being undertaken in South Africa and several regions in Latin America. Hear from some of the students in one of the public schools in Delhi on their experiences with Amira.
